Pictured is our 1882 Hand Pumper, Make: Buffalo, Pump: Ramsey. This Hand Pumper was refurbished in the early 2000’s by Residents of the Allegany County ARC under the Supervision of Mike Pasquale.

The Belmont Fire District is a Joint Fire District formed between the Town of Amity and the Village of Belmont. The fire district was formed on December 14th 2020 after an affirmative vote of 168 Yes and 55 no. The appointed Fire Commissioners will take office officially on October 2nd 2021. The newly formed Fire District will take over operations from the Belmont Fire Department on January 1st 2022. The first appointed Fire Commissioners are Christopher Horton, Dana Hand, Daniel Woolston, Dennis Bliven and Mark Presutti. We are very excited for the new direction our fire protection is taking, we hope to continue providing fire protection the most effective way we can for years to come.
