BOOSTER PUMPER ARRIVES:
NEW FIREFIGHTING APPARATUS
Fire Chief John Nicholson and members of the local Department were made happy Tuesday with the arrival of the new booster pumper, recently purchased and placed at the disposal of the company by the Village Board. The new apparatus, as has been previously explained, cost $2,500 and has been purchased as auxiliary equipment in case the large chemical pumper is out of Town or on another job, or in case of a rural fire. It consists of a ton-and-a-half Chevrolet truck mounted with a pump, two one-hundred gallon tanks of water, 300 feet of 3/4/ inch hose, 500 feet of regular hose.
Its operation was explained to firemen Tuesday evening by a Mr. Rose, a mechanic from Buffalo Fire Apparatus company. It will be housed in the remodeled Paul Hose House on North Street.
